College,
Solan was established in 1959 and it was started
in a Private building near the Present D.C. Office,
Solan. Initially the College had a strength of
about 150 students in the faculty of Art. Teh
faculty of Science and Commerce were added on
later on.The College shifted to its Present Permanent
building in 1964. The College has A total land
of 28 bighas in which roads, Present building,
Boys hostel, Basketball ground and teachers/ Class
IV quaters are standing and a Tribal Hostel for
about 70 students is also coming up. The vacant
area/ green cover is lef about five bighas.
The hostel has a residential capacity of sixty
boys students. Presently 35 students are residing
in the Hostel.
Teh College has a study Centre of Indira Gandhi
National Open University.It has an enrolement
of about 450 students studying in different courses.
