Govt.
Degree College Indora (Kangra) started functioning during
the month of Dec'95.in the building of Govt. Senior Secondary
School, Indora (Kangra). Since Dec 95 i.e. opening of the
college it is functioning in GSSS Indora building, occupying
10 Rooms (including Offices , Staff room, Library and Classrooms).
Courses run in the college
a) Professional : Nil
b) Academic : Arts group (Eng, Hindi ,Skt, eco, Pol Sc, Maths,
Music, Pub. Adm & Sociology )
INTRODUCTION : The College came into existence
in December 1995 and since then it is functioning from 10
rooms of the Govt. sr. Sec School, Indora. Sh. R.K. Kalia
was the first Principal, who started th ecollege with 53 students
of the first year of the three year degree course at the fag
end of the session 1995-96 with thespecial permission of the
H.P. University. It is a co-educational Institution wherein
girls outnumber the boys.
